Division 1 Football League.
Ferbane 0–6 Ballycumber 0—8.
Despite the score line, this was a good open game of football played in the right spirit. Ferbane started better and had two points on the board before Ciaran grennan open Ballycumber’s account with a point. Adrian Kelly and Keith Lawler quickly added one each to give the visitors a lead which they maintained until the final whistle. Ciaran Grennan responded to a Ferbane point in the first minute in the second half with a point from a free. Ferbane added two points from frees in the 7th and 14th minute to which Sean Hackett and Ciaran Grennan[2] replied. Ferbane closed the scoring with a pointed free. Both sides experienced difficulty in putting the ball between the posts, despite some excellent play throughout the pitch. Plenty of practice required before the start of the championship in a few weeks. Team. Peter Flynn, Alan Flanagan, Ger Egan, Ritchie Dunne, Declan Daly[Capt] Karl Daly, Colin Daly, Conor Connelly, Brian Halligan, Colm Quinn, Sean Hackett, Keith Lawler, Conrad Casey, Adrian Kelly, Ciaran Grennan.
