Sunday Night Quiz

The Sunday Night Quiz got off to a great start on Sunday 28th September to a packed house with guest question master PJ Maquire who chose as his theme ‘the world financial markets’ which came as a great shock to the teams of contestants who were expecting simple questions along the lines ‘who starred in
the Quiet Man’ and what northern team won this year’s senior All-Ireland Football Championship’

After ten low scoring rounds Vice Chairman Rory McCabe and his team emerged as eventual winners but only after picking up valuable last minute scores in the final charades round with An Cisteoir’s team(ably assisted by the Ladies Team Manager, Pigeon and Tintin) team beaten into second place by the narrowest of margins simply because they were no good at films.

Hosted by different Club members every week, the next quiz will commence at 9pm sharp on Sunday 5th October with guest question masters Kevin Sweeney and Miceal Crilly with their choosen theme of questions.

So if you think you are wiser than No 2, brainier than Greg McCartan, craftier than An Cisteoir or like An Cathoirlach just want a good night’s craic come along every Sunday- everyone welcome
