The training continues on Saturday morning at 11am.

Under 12’s
In the opening game of the U-12 league St. Marys ran out convincing winners against Mac Cumhaillls. The home team started brightly and opened the scoring with a Kevin Bonner point. St. Marys continued to dominate early on and a Luke Witherow goal followed quickly by 1-1 from Jack Blake seen them race into a 2-2 to no score lead. The home side then seemed to take the foot of the gas and let MacCumhaillls into the game with a goal and a point before Simon McGlynn coolly slotted home St. Mary’s third goal. A pointed free along with close range goal saw MacCumhaillls come back to within three points. Jack Blake sent over two frees to restore St. Mary’s lead to five at the half time interval.
St. Mary’s started the second half the same as the first with points from Simon McGlynn, Jack Blake and a superb effort from centre back Dannan O’Kane. MacCumhaillls scored another free to reduce the deficit, but with the St. Mary’s defence on top form and also keeper Paul Kelly pulling off a couple of magnificent saves the home team always looked comfortable. Simon McGlynn sealed the game with three quick goals and the scoring was complete when James Kee slotted over late in the game. This was an all round good team performance. Final Score: St. Mary’s 6-8 MacCumhaillls 2-3.
St. Mary’s team: Paul Kelly, Curtis McBride, Gavin McLaughlin, Erika Wilson, Mark Bonner, Dannan O’Kane (0-1), Darren Bonner, John Toye, James Kee (0-1), Brian McNamee, Simon McGlynn (4-1), Corey O’Kane, Luke Witherow (1-0), Jack Blake (1-4), Kevin Bonner (0-1) Subs: James Sweeney, Joseph McGill, Caolan Mathewson, Anthony Bogle, Ciara McDaid, Ronan Kelly, Paul Buchanan, Dale Lafferty, Evan Rorty.

This was an excellent all round team performance with Eoin Allan particularly outstanding. Scorers: Paidraig Porter (0 3), Lawerence Mc Mullan (1 1) and Packie Mailey (0 4).
