Under 10
The U-12’s continued there unbeaten start to the season with a six point victory over neighbours Castlefin. The home team dominated the first half playing some excellent football with Simon McGlynn (2-2), Jack Blake(0-4), Joseph McGill and Dannan O’ Kane all getting on the score board. Robert Emmet’s responded late in the half with a couple of points to leave the half time score 2-8 to 0-2. In the second half the Castlefin team came more into the game scoring 1-1 to keep the game within their reach. St. Mary’s pressed and created chances but some wayward shooting only saw them add a further goal and a point, with James Kee thundering a shot into the roof of the net. The team came under some late pressure with two Emmet goals but held on for the win. Training for the team is on Friday night at 6pm with the next game away to Naomh Padraig, Lifford on Wednesday. Final Score: St. Mary’s 3-9: Robert Emmett’s 3-3.

Under 16 and minors
The under 16 team defeated Cloughaneely on Friday night on a 1 11 to 1 6 scoreline. This was a very entertaining game between two well matched sides. All players on the home side played their part in securing victory. Scorers: Anthony Browne 0 1, Michael Black 0 2, Ryan Kettle 0 5, Emmet Patterson 0 1, and Peter Blake 1 2. The next game is away to Mc Cumhaills on Friday 24th April.

Seniors and Reserves
St Mary’s senior team played Letterkenny Gaels in Letterkenny on Saturday evening. The team started very well and lead by 4 points playing into the breeze at the end of the first half. On the restart St. Marys pressed home their advantage and ran out winners on a scoreline of 1 14 to 0 8. A feature of the game was the fact that 8 different players supplied the scores. Best for St. Marys were Emmett Mc Nulty, John Doherty, Thomas Mc Hugh and Mark Sweeney. They dominated most of the game but missed a number of chances and conceded a couple of goals however they recorded a good victory in the end. Senior and reserves training continues at 7.30pm on Tuesday and Thursday. New players welcome. The next game for both teams is at home v Naomh Ultan this weekend.
