Racing, fashion, hurling – it’s ‘the Galway City, Heart of Hurling Race Day’ 2006!

Sunday, September 10^th marks the annual ‘Galway City, Heart of Hurling Race Day’, kicking off the September racing festival at Ballybrit.  Now in its third year, the event is a fundraiser aimed at developing and growing the game of hurling, in Galway city.

The day kicks off at 1pm in the luxury of a private marquee with a champagne reception, followed by a 5-course dinner, and music and dancing with well-known band ‘the Conquerers’ going on ‘til late.  A guest tipster will be on hand to mark your race card, and hopefully help you win a few euro.  But there’s lots more to be won on the day – auction prizes, spot prizes and of course prizes for fashion!  We all know that no trip to Ballybrit would be complete without some fashion – Best Dressed Lady, Best Dressed Man, and Best Dressed Couples can show off their glamour and compete for some great prizes.  It’s guaranteed to be a great day out!
