The Geeha Challenge - Week 1

November 8, 2018

(The Geeha Challenge is a sports prediction league. It is run by www.facetheball.com, and Kinvara GAA has its own mini-league created called The Geeha Challenge)

THE GEEHA CHALLENGE – WEEK 1

The first round of The Geeha Challenge took place last weekend. There was three games down for decision and each one had varying results.

I think all punters guessed correctly that Galway would beat Wexford, with extra bonus points coming to others who came closest to the 11 point in margin.

No-one had guessed the draw in the Offaly v Antrim game (normal time). I don’t think too many of the GAA pundits in the newspapers or tv would have called that one either.

But what about Cork v Tipp. Only three punters guessed a cork win. In saying that, those brave people guessed a narrow win, and not a big margin of 10 points. Still, a very big call by those as Tipp would have been favourites. Anyways, fairplay to 3MC, Ned and 9227717 to setting the pace!

So here is the leaderboard after round 1.

Along way to go til September!

Although the first All-Ireland Hurling games were played last weekend, people can still join ‘The Geeha Challenge’. Most people scored a poor score, as although Galway predictably beat Wexford, there was a surprise as Cork hammered Tipp, and Offaly v Antrim was a drawn after normal time.
