THE NEALE 7—11 V ROUND TOWERS 2—06
The Neale under 16’s sit pretty on top of div. 3 football after there third straight win. The Neale were on top in every sector and led 5—06 to 0—01 at half time. Aidan O Sullivan did most of the first half damage with three goals. Steven Morrin scored from a well taken penalty after Jack Winters was fouled in the square. Morrin also scored a fine point and other points came from Jack Winters(1) and Steven Conroy (4), with the Neale’s other goal coming from the impressive Steven Bowe.
In the second half the Neale eased a little but still were too strong and Sullivan added to his tally with another goal and Bowe chipped the goalkeeper which drew applause from all those present. Conroy, Winters, Morrin and Bowe all scored second half points. Apart from the scorers in chief those to play well were Neil Coen, Jason Mc Tigue and Shane Halloran.
The Neale lined out as follows: Jamie Walsh, James Mc Grath, Conor Haire, Neil Winters, Niall Coen, Shane Halloran, Steven Bowe (2—01), Steven Morrin (1—03, 1pen ), Keith Gibbons, Jack Winters (0—02) , Jason Mc Tigue, Aidan Sullivan (4—0), and Steven Conroy(0—5, 2frees). Sub used David Mc Grath for Shane Halloran.
