The U12’s Sunday morning at home to a tough St Mary’s side. The visitors struck first in this one after just 3 minutes despite the best efforts of Oisin Doran Noonan who was in top form throughout the game. It took Crosshaven just 5 minutes to equalise when Fionn Mansfield pounced after excellent work down the right from Rhys Kelly Noonan & Luca Bogan. The latter had a couple of chances to put Crosser ahead before Rhys eventually did put the ball in the net to make it 2-1. Mary’s equalised to make it 2-2 at the break & the second half was more of the same. Mary’s raced into a 4-2 lead before Fionn Mansfield played Shay Murphy in for a well taken finish to make it 4-3. Rhys Kelly Noonan who was in top form all day went close with a header before Shay tied the game up with a well taken free kick. With just a minute on the clock though Mary’s scored what proved to be the winner on the break although Eamon O'Dwyer nearly scored a worldie in injury time. Sadly the shot whistled the wrong side of the post. Final score Crosshaven 4-5 St Mary's. Jim White, Leo O'Leary & Rory Deane also impressed.
