A good week’s work for Castlewellan senior footballers, winning their first league game at home to unbeaten Loughinisland on Thursday night. The town showed great grit and spirit running out clear winners on a 5 point lead.
On Sunday they showed more of the same winning the Feis Sevens at Ballykinlar. In their first match they beat Dundrum2.7 to 2.3. Then in the semi-finals they beat Kilclief 4.6 to 1.3 and in the final overcame neighbours Bryansford beating them by a convincing 4.8 to 0.8.
