There will be a fundraising night held in Thurles Greyhound Stadium on Saturday 16th of July for Damien Mullins of Cappawhite who was in an accident in Melbourne, Australia on the 9th of April 2011. Damien is currently in rehab in Melbourne and has been a dedicated member to our club over the past few years.
Damien needs all the support he can get. Tickets for the night are 10 euro and the first race is on at 8 o’clock. All support and donations are greatly appreciated.

Community Games

We had around thirty athletes from the Sean Treacy area of Kilcommon Hollyford and Rearcross taking part in the Tipp county finals on June 26th at Templemore. Thanks to our generous supporters we were kitted out in our Sean Treacy vests and our banner made by the Ryans in Hollyford with the lettering completed by the talented Brian Williams and our athletes did our area proud on the day. We took part in under 8,10,12,14 and 16 in sprints, long distance, relays and long puck. We qualified for the final of the under 12 relays in both boys and girls and had athletes in the under eight sprint finals and under sixteen 1500 metres final with medals for Orla Shanahan, Denis Fahey and Elaine Ryan who won gold and will represent our area in the All Ireland final in Athlone in August. We are proud of all of our athletes who took part on Sunday in melting conditions in what was a day enjoyed by all.

Wedding Bells

Congratulations to Jim Caplis of Hollyford who got married on Saturday last and Germaine Byrnes of Kilcommon who wedded on Friday last. We wish both sets of couples every happiness and success in the future.
