TROJAN RACE NIGHT & COMEDY NIGHT NEXT WEEKEND

On Friday 20th April is a Trojan Race Night is to be run by Kiltale Players to raise funds for the running of the Hurling Club.  It will start at 9.15pm with Novelty races (as in past 1982/1983 teams against present teams and so on). All are Welcome

Shank’s Mare are is hosting the opening night of their monthly comedy club – Moynalvey Laughs – on Saturday 21st April. The gig will be headlined by Pat McDonnell (aka Eoin McLove) from Father Ted and also star of Naked Camera and Savage Eye.

A fantastic support line-up includes multi-award winning Gerry McBride, who’s won almost every comedy award there is to win, including Comedy Dublin’s Best Comedian and the Father Ted Tedfest Best New Act. A regular in Dublin’s Laughter Lounge, Gerry as been called a ‘rising talent’ by the Meath Chronicle and was chosen to perform at last year’s Electric Picnic. The line-up is completed by Savage Eye’s and BBC’s Show me The Funny’s FJ Murray. Alan Gernon from RTE’s ‘Monday Night Soccer’ and ‘Funny Friday’ is Resident MC.
