Tullamore Clinch U21 Football Title

The final of the Tullamore Court Hotel U-21 Football Championship was the main game of the weekend in Offaly. Tullamore won the title for a fifth time with a 1-6 to 0-5 defeat of an understrength St Michael’s.

Tullamore led at half time by 0-3 to 0-2 at O’Connor Park, and although St Michael’s briefly drew level, a 55th minute Rory Doheny goal sealed the title for ‘The Blues’.

On the hurling front Coolderry & Seir Kieran will contest the U21 hurling final on Saturday next in Crinkle at 5.45pm.
