U-21's advance

November 8, 2018

Kiltormer U-21’s advanced to the next round of the 2007 championship after a stirring victory over reigning champions Sarsfields. The game, played at St. Thomas’, ended in a 0-11 to 0-5 victory after an intense, hard hitting, but extremely fair battle.  Sarsfields lined out without their star player, Kerril Wade, and this certainly affected their chances.  The sides were level at half time, 0-3 to 0-3, and it looked as if it would be very difficult to seperate the teams.  However, four super points from Paddy Cormican, a couple of ice cool frees from Conor Dolan and some great defending from the Kenny brothers and Cathal Keogh showed the way forward for Kiltormer.  Kiltormer now advance to meet Clarenbridge in the next round, but I suspect we have not seen the last of this Sarsfields team.
