U12 Hurlers enjoy easy win

November 8, 2018

Edenderry U12 Hurlers enjoyed an easy win against Brosna Gaels in the first round of the 2010 Competition at a wonderfully prepared Edenderry GAA on Saturday 5th June.

As ground hurling is played for 10 minutes in each half, Edenderry were on top by the end of the first period of ground hurling when they led 2-2 to no score. When normal hurling rules were applied they continued to dominate with many excellent scores, sublime passing and determined tackling all over the field. Edenderry had seven different scorers during the first half.

The halftime score was:

Edenderry 3-10 Brosna Gaels 0-01

The second half began in more even fashion with Brosna Gaels matching Edenderry score for score, however Edenderry soon began to dominate again and they began to add further to the scoreline with a number of well taken scores.

This was an excellent performance by the entire squad with man of the match candidates all over the field, including Gary Gorman, Andrew Maloney, Ryan O’Neill, Jack Foran, Cian Farrell, Shane Cummins, Oisin O’Grady and Daniel Daly. However with a personal tally of 1-02 and a display of passing, catching and tackling the Man of the Match had to be Donie Groome.
