U14 Footballers win again

Edenderry u14 continued with their second win in the championship with a 2-16 to 0-08 win over St Broughans on friday night in Clonbullogue.

 
Playing against a strong wind edenderry went into a 2 – 1 to no score lead after 10 mins before St Broughans got their opening point. Edenderry lost John Downey with a leg injury after 15 mins , Brian O Connell replaced John in the half-forward line with Peter McNamara filling the half-back position.
 
St Broughans threw everything at Edenderry but Edenderry backs were ruthless and went in at half-time on a scoreline Edenderry 2-4 St Broughans 0-04.

Edenderry started the second half with 6 unanswered points before St Broughans got their first points on the board. Every time St Broughans came forward Edenderry backs were very solid,with quick ball coming out Edenderry forwards put the game away with some wonderful point taking. With 10mins to go Edenderry introduced more subs and with time running out Edenderry continued putting points on the board and ran out winners on a score line 2-16 to 0-08.
 
It was an excellent team effort with our backs in Jack Kelly, B Lynch, Aaron Moules, Jordan Farrell J O’Connor in fine form Lee Hyland, David Maloney worked and dominated midfield. Peter McNamara Steve Osbourne, Jordan Hayes, Andrew Maloney worked hard and scored some wonderfull points .
