The Neale under 16’s under performed and as a result lost for the first time this season. They opened the scoring with a point from David Mc Grath in the first minute, Breaffy began to get on top and scored 1—04 on the bounce to lead 1—04 to 0—01 after ten minutes. Points from Aidan O’ Sullivan (2), Steven Conroy and Mc Grath levelled proceedings. However Breaffy scored 1—02 to push ahead once more. The industrious Steven Morrin scored to fantastic points just before half time to leave the score Breaffy 2—06 the Neale 0—07 at the break. Things did not improve after the break and Breaffy scored 3—03 to run out easy winners. A goal from Aidan Sullivan and a pointed free from Steven Conroy was there only replies. On the night Steven Morrin stood out ably assisted by Niall Coen, James Mc Grath, David Mc Grath and Aidan O’ Sullivan.
