On a lovely evening for football, St Kevins with two teams, Cuchulainn Gaels and Roche Emmets with a team each served up an enjoyable evening of football for parents and friends there to support them.
In the first game on pitch 1 Roche Emmets and St Kevins A played out a really tight contest with both defences to the fore. The scores were level at half time with Roche just running out narrow winners 6pts – 4pts.
Best for Roche were Anna Murphy, Sarah Mc Ardle and Adam Fee.
Best for St Kevins were Aaron Dowling in goals, Evan Logue & Finbar Lynch.
In the first game on pitch 2 Cuchualinn Gaels were just too strong for a much younger St Kevins B team running out emphatic winners 25pts to 2pts.
Best for St Kevins were Tom Matthews, Cormac Rogers and Josh Finlay.
Best for Cuchulainn Gaels were Finn O’Reilly, Aoibheann O’Hanlon and Tara Lyons.
In the second game on pitch 2 Cuchualinn Gaels and St Kevins A team played out a cracker with Cuchulainn Gaels running out 18pts to 14pts winners.
Best for Cuchulainn Gaels were Aisling Connolly, James Ward and Luke Penney.
Best for St Kevins were David O’Connell, Emmet Gorman and Caolan Mc Mullan.
In the second game on pitch 1 a younger St Kevins B after a great first half performance gave way to the stronger and fitter Roche team to a scoreline of 17pts to 4pts.
Best for Roche were Adam Mc Kay, Ciaran Kilkenny and Gerard Browne.
Best for St Kevins were Caolan Matthews, Scott Mc Hugh and Arron Bohan.
The final game of the evening saw a great match between Roche and Cuchualinn Gaels with the standard of football at times really high and some excellent long range point taking. Roche just deeding out their peninsula neighbours 8pts to 4pts.
Best for Roche were Glen Stewart, Ciaran Goss and Scott Carthy.
Best for Cuchulainn Gaels were Ella Murphy, Patrick Kierans and Finn O’Hanlon.
