St. Mary’s senior men entertained Naomh Colmcille in the preliminary round first leg of the Junior A Championship. In a poor first half Convoy managed to be leading by 6 points to 4 at half time. The team improved slightly in the second half but the concession of two goals brought Naomh Colmcille back into the game. Trailing by one point with five minutes to go the introduction of David Shovlin changed the game around. He scored the equalising point and was fouled shortly afterwards allowing Padraig Porter to kick over the winning free. Best for St. Mary’s were Liam Mailey, Eoin Allan, Emmett Mc Nulty and Marty Mc Namee.

The team were away to Naomh Colmcille in the second round of the Junior Championship on Sunday last. Following a poor first half display Newtown deservedly lead by five points at half time. A different St. Marys team emerged for the second half and managed to overturn a five point deficit into a four point victory thanks mainly to holding Newtown scoreless during this period. Best for St. Marys were Mark Sweeney, John A Mc Mullan, Seamus O Donnell and Ciaran Porter. Scorers: Liam Prunty 1 0, Ciaran Porter 0 1, Mark Sweeney 0 1, Emmet Mc Nulty 0 1, Gary Patton 0 2, Seamus O’ Donnell 0 5.

Under 10 boys and girls were in Aghyarn last weekend for their blitz all of the teams did very well. Their next blitz is in Naomh Padraig, Lifford on 6^thJune. Training continues on Saturday mornings at 11am.

Under 12 boys next match away to Robert Emmet’s on Wednesday next. Bus leaving Drumkeen 5pm, Convoy 5.10pm and Raphoe 5.15 pm. Training continues on Friday at 6pm.

Under 14 boys had a one point victory over Milford in a challenge match on Monday last. Training contiinues on Monday at 6pm.

Under 16’s and minors: The minors lost to Mc Cumhaills on a scoreline of 1 7 to 3 4 on Monday last. Training continues on Friday 6.15pm.
