Under 10 boys and girls have blitz in Naomh Padraig, Lifford on Saturday next. Bus leaves Drumkeen hall at 10am, Convoy pitch at 10.15am and top of the terrace, Raphoe 10.25am.
The under 12’s travelled to Castlefin and came out on top in tight game on wednesday week last. In a high scoring first half the teams traded scores, and the St. Mary’s lads led at the break 2-10 to 2-5 with some fine individual scores taken. In the second half the home team put the pressure on with a couple of early goals and took the lead, but the St Mary’s recovered and finished the game on top winning by five points. Final Score: Robert Emmet’s 5 5 : St. Mary’s 3 16. The final league game is on Wednesday 3rd of June, at home to Naomh Padraig, Lifford. The team is already assured of top spot in the section and will play either Fanad Gaels or Gaoth Dobhair in the division 1 semi finals. On Wednesday evening last in Convoy the under 12 team completed their league campaign with a 100% record in a comprehensive victory over neighbours Lifford. This now means they will enter the division 1 semi finals, a great achievement as it will be the first time the club will be competing in the top division at the U-12 grade. Played on a very hot evening, the home team dominated from the start and this continued through the game. The lead at half time was 3-6 to 0-0 with all the scoring coming from Jack Blake and Simon McGlynn. There were a number of personnel and positional changes in the second half but this didn’t affect the performance, with the scoring more spread, scores from Gavin McLaughlin, Dannan O’Kane, Conor Rodgers, Jack Blake, Luke Witherow and John Toye.Training continues on Monday at 6pm.
The semi final has been set for Monday the 8th at home against Gaoth Dobhair at 7 o’clock. All the support would be appreciated.
