Faughs 3-6 N Olaf 2-4
Olafs started very brightly and led by 4 points early on with a determined skilful performance driven by Mark Gallagher and David Byrne at midfield. Despite being short 5 regular players Olafs stuck manfully to the task and trailed by a point at half time despite playing against the wind. Faughs resumed brightly and 2 quick goals left Olafs with a mountain to climb. Inspired by a cracking goal from Eoin Murphy and a superb point by Adam Blunden, the gap was down to a single point again with 10 minutes remaining. Faughs finished stronger and a late goal put an end to a fabulous encounter dominated by superb skills from both sides.
