Under 16 and minors

November 8, 2018

The under 16’s had an impressive win in their first league game of the season against a spirited Gweedore side on St. Patrick’s Day. They played with the wind in the first half and had a 1 9 to 1 0 lead at half time. The first half goal came from man of the match Anthony Browne with Ryan Kettle also scoring some fine points. The team defended well against the wind in the second half and Ronan Donnellan came to the fore when moved to full back. Overall it was a good team performance and hopefully the first of many wins this season. Final score: Gweedore 1 3: St. Mary’s 2 12. St. Mary’s team: Conor Cairns, Conor Donnellan, Oisin Porter, Caolan McGinley, Darren Gibson, Ronan Donnellan, Conor McNamee, John A.
