The fourth Annual under 16 Hurling Tournament for the Mary Moroney Cup was held in Anner Park Cloneen on Saturday last 25th June. In the semi Finals Anner Gaels defeated Thurles Gaels and Gortnahoe/Glengoole defeated Moneygall/Clonakenny.
In the Shield final Thurles Gaels defeated Moneygall/Clonakenny to take the shield home from their first appearance in our Annual tournament. The cup final was a close game with Gortnahoe/Glengoole just snatching victory by 2-9 to 1-11 from local side Anner Gaels.
This marked three in a row for Gortnahoe/Glengoole in the fourth playing for the Mary Moroney Cup. We thank all who took part and a special word of thanks to the ladies who looked after the catering for those present. The Anner Gaels team was: Adam Cuddihy,
