Our Under 16’s bowed to a late comeback from a strong Ahan Gaels outfit today, and exited the County Championship at the quarter-final stage.
Urhan led 4-02 to 0-08 at the break, goals proving the difference in a fairly even half. However, it was Ahan Gales who got the goals in the second half, the last coming with only a couple of minutes to play. Urhan, who fought hard all through, rallied again and were denied when a free hit the corner of post and bar. It was to prove the difference.
Hard luck to players and management. It was a fine effort.
