Message form Pat Sutton, Manager of Suncroft Under 10A team.

Congratulations to Suncroft U10a’s who were crowned U10 Division 1 champions last week finishing joint top of the league. They won 6 of their 7 matches during the league with their only loss being an unlucky 1 point defeat to Moorefield. The league started with a comfortable win over Castledermot with David Sutton scoring an impressive 7-4 on the day. It finished with a must win match against unbeaten Eadestown, which Suncroft duly won by 1 point thanks to a superb injury time winner by Stephen Crowley. Suncroft performed brilliantly throughout the league putting some very high standard displays. Who will ever forget the 12 point comeback against Rathangan to secure a 1 point win or the 2 very late goals against Kilcullen to secure a 2 point win. The Mentors would like to thank all who helped out during the campaign, in particular the players themselves, all the parents, skills trainer Eamon O’Modhrain, John Knight and John Browne.

Under 12’s are still waiting on a date for their shield semi-final.

Under 16’s start championship later on this month.
