Vote for Greenfields Hockey Club!

November 8, 2018

Greenfields Hockey Club received the welcome news last week that they have been shortlisted for an Irish Hockey Association Award.
The awards ceremony, now in it’s 7th year, honours an array of people & clubs for their outstanding achievements throughout the hockey season.
It takes place on October 20th, at the Alexander Hotel in Dublin City centre.

Greenfields is a deserving nominee in the ‘Club of the Year‘ category, following their victory over Omagh in last season’s Irish Hockey Trophy Competition, alongside provincial victories at both Senior and Junior level.
Never before has a Connacht club succeeded in winning an Irish trophy, & Greenfields are hopeful that this historic win will earn them the title of Club of the Year.

Greenfields have also been nominated in three other categories, namely ‘Volunteer of the Year’ (Imelda Brennan), ‘Senior Player of the Year’ (Neasa McGettigan) & ‘U18 Player of the Year’ (Ailbhe Finnerty)

EVERYONE & anyone with an interest in the hockey community has an opportunity to vote on these nominees,as well as other Connacht nominees, so Greenfields are appealing to all their friends & supporters to go online & cast your vote for the Irish Hockey Awards.

Voting closes on Thursday September 13th, so don’t delay!
