SENIOR
Senior: In the county senior hurling final Nenagh Éire Óg will face defending champions Thurles Sarsfields on Sunday, October 25th in Semple Stadium, Thurles. The lads are working hard in their efforts to represent the town, their club, their families and themselves to the very best of their ability and would appreciate your support. Sunday’s county final will be preceded by the intermediate final between Clonakenny and Thurles Sarsfields.
Training Fund: A senior hurling team training fund has been established to defray some of the inevitable expenses associated with the preparation for the county final. Any support would be greatly appreciated. Please contact any club officer for details.
Under-21A: The under-21A hurling team will face Roscrea in the opening round of this year’s championship. The fixtures schedule for that competition have not been released as of yet. This year the under-21A hurling team will be managed by Greg Browne (manager), Con Morris and Michael McNamara. The 2015 Walsh’s of Nenagh North Tipperary Under-21A Hurling Championship will be run on a knock-out-loser’s-group system. Éire Óg have been drawn against Roscrea in the opening round. Kilruane MacDonagh’s will face Ballina in a preliminary round game while the remaining first round games will see Kildangan face the winner of the Kilruane versus Ballina game and Toomevara take on Newport Gaels.

Leadership Initiative: During next week’s mid-term break Éire Óg will take part in the prestigious Dermot Earley Youth Leadership Initiative for young people between the ages of fifteen and eighteen. Five places are available and participants will be given a talk by Tipperary senior hurling captain Brendan Maher (Borris-Ileigh) and enjoy a trip to Croke Park, Dublin for the Ireland versus Australia international rules fixture in a few weeks’ time. This unique programme aims to foster a new generation of young Irish leaders. All participants who complete the course will be awarded a certificate in Youth Leadership and Community Action from the National University of Ireland, Galway. It would be fantastic to see more people from our club sign up for what promises to be a fulfilling, fun and rewarding programme. For more information please contact 083 334 3347.
Night at the Dogs: Tickets are now on sale now for the combined juvenile and Camogie club ‘Night at the Dogs’ club fundraiser on Saturday, November 21st at Thurles Greyhound Stadium. Tickets are priced at €10 and are available from all committee members.

JUVENILE
The under-6 & under-8 hurlers finished their year with a fun day at T & B’s Adventure World in Nenagh College on Saturday. Many thanks to Tommy, Barry and especially to the mentors and parents for all their efforts this year. The panel would like to wish coach Kevin best of luck in the county final on Sunday!
Our under-14 hurlers had a fine win over Borris-Ileigh in the Ballina Tournament on Saturday last. We play our final group game away to Ballina on Bank Holiday Monday next at 4pm.
Our under-13 hurlers will participate in the Kilruane Tournament on Saturday, October 31st.
There was a great turn out for our running and strength and conditioning classes. However, because of the big numbers on Thursday night and our limited time slot we have to move it to Friday night at the following times: 10/12 s girls and boys to be in complex at 6.50pm to start at 7pm, 14/16 boys in complex at 7.50pm to be ready for 8pm. Running Tuesday night at 7.30pm for 10/12 and 8pm for 14/16.

The very best of luck to Éire Óg senior hurlers and the Camogie junior A team as they prepare for two county finals this weekend. All juveniles are asked to wear their club colours proudly and support both teams – firstly at the Camogie final in The Ragg at 1pm on Saturday and then on to Thurles on Sunday afternoon for the senior hurling final. See you all there!
CAMOGIE
Junior A: We defeated Kildangan in the county semi-final over the weekend on a scoreline of 3-10 to 2-2. The final is fixed for this Saturday at 1pm in The Ragg against Toomevara. We hope a huge crowd from the club come and support these wonderful girls who have put in a massive effort all year under the watchful eyes of Kieran O’Brien and Noel Coffey.

Flag Weekend: We wish to thank everyone who volunteered last weekend, the various businesses around the town for allowing to collect outside their premises and all who so kindly donated to our flag collection. This is a vital fundraiser for the club and once again this year it was a huge success.
Strength & Conditioning: Our strength and conditioning training continues under the supervision of former Tipperary hurler John O’Keefe. On Tuesday nights we train in the running track in Ballygreigue. Under-10s and under-12s train from 7.30pm to 8pm while all players from under-14 upwards train from 8pm to 8.30pm. On Friday evenings we are training in the complex in MacDonagh Park from 7pm to 7.30pm for under-10s and under-12s while every from under-14 up trains from 8pm to 8.30pm. It costs €2 per evening and is run in conjunction with the juvenile club.
