SENIOR
Senior: The Dr Fogarty Cup final between Nenagh Éire Óg and Mullinahone was scheduled to take place on Friday, July 10th, but that contest has now been postponed. Éire Óg last appeared in the Dr Fogarty Cup final in 2013 when the Blues lost after a replay to Burgess. This Saturday the Éire Óg senior hurlers will participate in the Tom Semple Tournament.
Thurles Sports Fest is a festival of sports, music and drama which runs from Friday, July 3rd to Saturday, July 11th in Tipperary. Hurling, Camogie, ladies football, road bowling, handball and rounders all feature in the festival, but the highlight is the hurling competition for the Tom Semple Cup which will run on Saturday from 10.30am to 5pm in Dr Morris Park and in the Outside Field at Semple Stadium, Thurles – admission is free. Liam Heffernan’s Blues will not return to championship action until the respective divisional championships reach a conclusion – Éire Óg have already qualified for the last sixteen of the Clean Ireland Recycling County Senior Hurling Championship.
Junior A: On Saturday, July 11th the junior A hurlers are scheduled to take on Burgess in the Watch Centre North Tipperary Junior A Hurling Championship in Puckane at 7.30pm. The Blues have already beaten Kildangan and Silvermines and will hope to maintain their good form in this contest. Éire Óg’s final group game will be against Kilruane MacDonagh’s who won the north Tipperary junior A hurling league for the first time in recent weeks. The Watch Centre North Tipperary Junior A Hurling Championship is being run on a two-group system with the top team in each group progressing to the semi-finals and the second and third teams qualifying for the quarter-finals. Nenagh Éire Óg, the defending champions, were drawn in group one while group two features Toomevara, Borris-Ileigh, Roscrea, Knockshegowna and Templederry. This year the junior A team is managed by Greg Browne (manager), Con Morris, Michael Ryan and Conor Ryan.
Junior B: Following the withdrawal of three teams from the competition the North Board were forced to re-draw the groups for the Watch Centre North Tipperary Junior B Hurling Championship. Nenagh Éire Óg have been drawn in group one alongside Lorrha, Toomevara, Shannon Rovers and Ballina. Moneygall, Portroe, Newport and Borrisokane make up group two. This year the Éire Óg team is managed by Cian Tucker (manager), Mark Long, John Paul King and Paddy Flynn. The junior A team are expected to launch their north championship campaign on the week-ending Sunday, July 19th.
Minor A: Nenagh Éire Óg survived a late rally from a spirited Borris-Ileigh team at Templederry on Thursday evening to win their opening game in the Ger Gavin North Tipperary Minor A Hurling Championship. John Manley’s Nenagh Éire Óg team have been drawn in group one of the championship alongside Roscrea, Newport Gaels, Borris-Ileigh and Portroe. John Manley is joined on the management team by selectors Derek Lillis, Christy McLoughlin and Paudie Gleeson. The team are expected to return to competitive action next week.

JUVENILE
Well done to our under-8 hurlers who enjoyed some great matches against Ballina last Saturday. Many thanks to our visitors! They will face Ahane this Saturday. More information from team mentors at training at 5pm on Wednesday.
The under-10 hurlers played a super Moycarkey-Borris side last weekend and all enjoyed a great morning of hurling. They will also face Ahane opposition on Saturday at 10.30pm. No football training this week.

The under-12 Group A team lost out to a very strong Roscrea team on Friday evening. They still have two rounds left to play against Kildangan and Silvermines. The Group D team have a busy week ahead playing Portroe on Tuesday and home to Templederry on Friday at 6.30pm.

Our under-14 hurlers secured a comfortable victory away to Ballina on Wednesday last. They play Roscrea in round six on Wednesday next in MacDonagh Park at 7pm.
Well done to Callan Scully who played in goal for Tipperary under-14 footballers in the Jim Fogarty Munster tournament in Waterford last weekend. Tipperary did very well on the day, only to lose out to a strong Kerry team in the final.

Our under-16 hurlers kicked off their championship with a two point win over Kilruane MacDonagh’s in Cloughjordan last week – final score 4-8 to 2-12. On Monday evening, July 6th the lads made it two wins from two when beating Moneygall-Clonakenny 3-22 to 0-10. The lads are away to Silvermines on Monday, July 13th. Please come out to support the lads.

Nenagh Éire Óg's annual summer camp will be held from Monday, July 20th to Friday, July 24th (2pm to 5pm). It is open to boys and girls from five to thirteen years of age. Cost is €45 per child with a maximum charge of €70 per family. Contact Catherine on 086 085 5165 for more information!

Under-6 & Under-8: These teams have blitzes over the next few weeks.

Under-12: Congratulations to the team and management who won the county shield final last week. It was a great achievement by a fantastic group of girls. This panel visited Croke Park on Tuesday. Please see our website for a report and photographs from the day.
Under-13: The summer league for this team starts this week with a game against Ballina.
Under-15: We are due to play Silvermines this Friday in Dolla in the opening game of the summer league.
Under-16: Hard luck to this team who suffered a heart-breaking defeat to Newport-Ballinahinch last Saturday in the county final. All the players deserve great credit for their performance which just fell short on the day. The club wishes to thank the players and management for all their hard work throughout the year. Junior: We are currently preparing hard for our opening game of the championship when we play Thurles Sarsfields on August 9th. We ask all members of this panel to please make a special effort to attend training over the next few weeks.
Tipperary: Well done to Naoise MacLoone, Meaghan Morris, Sarah Hallinan and Sine Morris who played for the Tipperary under-13 side in a blitz in Annacarty over the weekend. They played games against Cork, Limerick and Clare and had a great day out.
