SENIOR

Senior: The Blues’ opening game in the 2015 county senior hurling championship will take place on Sunday, April 12th when Nenagh Éire Óg will face the Templederry Kenyons in St Michael’s Park, Toomevara at 6.30pm. Templederry are a top class side which features several inter-county players. Your support would be appreciated on this occasion.

Junior B: Cian Tucker’s junior B hurling team lost to Moneygall in a highly-entertaining league contest on Saturday evening in Moneygall.

The Watch Centre North Tipperary Junior B Hurling League will be played on a two-group system this year with the top two teams in each progressing to the semi-finals. Nenagh Éire Óg have remaining group games against Toomevara, Newport and Shannon Rovers. The Nenagh Éire Óg team are managed this year by Cian Tucker (manager), Mark Long, Paddy Flynn and John Paul King.

Minor A: The minor A footballers lost on a 0-7 to 2-10 scoreline against the Newport Gaels at MacDonagh Park, Nenagh on Wednesday evening. That said the Nenagh management team led by John Manley were delighted with the Blues’ hard-working display. A full match report from this game is available on the club website:

Nenagh Éire Óg will face Portroe in their remaining group two game with a place in the semi-finals up for grabs. The game against Portroe is scheduled to take place on Friday, April 10th in Portroe at 6.30pm. Your support would be appreciated on that occasion. The Nenagh Éire Óg team are managed by John Manley (manager), Paudie Gleeson, Derek Lillis and Christy McLoughlin.

A Night with Christy Kenneally: The Nenagh Éire Óg Healthy Club Project team will host a ‘Night with Christy Kenneally’ in the Scout’s Hall on Wednesday, April 15th at 8pm. The theme of his talk is “from heartbreak to hope”. Admission is priced at €5 while under-18s will be admitted for free. For full details on this event please see the club website:

JUVENILE

Under-6 & 8: Wednesday training resumes on April 8th at 5.15pm. New members are always welcome. Saturday training continues at 10am each Saturday.

Under-10: Well done to all of the boys who showed up for under-8 and 10 special football training on Tuesday. Wednesday training will resume at 5.15pm on April 8th.

Under-12: Well done to our groups A and D under-12 footballers who put in a great effort against Inane Rovers on Friday night. The group A team came up short against a very strong Inane team while the  group D teams shared the spoils. Full attendance required at training now boys. There is a long season of fun and sport ahead. Hurling training on Mondays at 5.30pm. Football training on Wednesdays at 6.30pm.

Under-14: Hard luck to our under-14 footballers who put up a good fight, but lost out to Borrisokane in their Féile Peil na nÓg semi-final on a scoreline of 2-4 to 1-2 on Monday afternoon.

Under-16: Congratulations to Fiachra Starr, Evan Murphy, Barry Coffey, Seán Shanahan and Daniel Molamphy and the Nenagh CBS team that won the Munster under-15 tournament last week. Under-16 football this week is on Thursday night when Nenagh take on Borrisokane at 6.30pm. Please keep an eye on the club website for fixture details/changes.

CAMOGIE

Junior A: On Sunday afternoon at MacDonagh Park, Nenagh the junior A team enjoyed a thirteen-point win over Burgess (4-7 to 1-3). For a full report on this game please see the club website:

Clothes Collection: we are holding a clothes recycling drive in order to raise much needed funds for the Camogie section. Please donate all your clean unwanted clothes, bed linen, towels, curtains, shoes, bags, belts and soft toys. The collection will take place in the club house on Saturday, April 18th between 10am and 12 noon. If you cannot make it on the date and have bags to donate please contact Marie 087 276 8444, Denise 087 674 2591 or Catherine 086 199 6643 to make arrangements for the collection of your items.
