JUVENILE

Éire Ógres: The final Éire Ógres beginner’s camp will take place on Saturday.at 10am and it has been a very rewarding month for all involved. The boys have thrived under the challenges each Saturday and all have enjoyed watching them grow in confidence. We hope to see our little ógres hurling for Éire Óg for many years to come.

Under-6 & 8 hurling start-up has been deferred for a week to March 7th. This is due to a Tipperary juvenile coaching conference.

Registration will continue from 10am-11-30am on Saturday morning.

Remember, if you are not a member you cannot train or play matches. Many thanks to juvenile club sponsors A Sportsman's Dream for their help at registration.

Under-12 training has resumed at 5pm on Mondays and Fridays. The football championship will start in March so all boys need to be back training now. Please bring your gum shields along with hurling gear to all training sessions. Call Michael Heffernan on 087 138 1616 with any queries.

The under-14 hurlers got their year off to a start on Sunday morning last when they welcomed Sarsfields of Galway to MacDonagh Park for a challenge game in advance of the Tipp-Galway league game in Thurles.

After an enjoyable hour’s hurling, which saw all panel members get game time, the Westerners fought back to shade the honours in the end. Thanks to Michael Hallinan for taking charge of the whistle. Thanks also to the parents who provided and served up refreshments for both teams afterwards. Full training resumes on Saturday next from 11am to 12.15pm.
