VOLUNTEER APPEAL

In 2014 Nenagh Éire Óg catered for over 400 active members (170 juvenile, 225 adult) and in 2015 we hope to grow that number. Crucially, however, we are not simply interested in developing our playing population. We are also interested in attracting volunteers who are interested in becoming coaches with the club and administrators of the club.

Here at Éire Óg we appreciate that not everyone can train a team, that not everyone is interested in coaching and that not everyone has time to attend committee meetings. That said there are plenty of very practical ways in which you can help your club work hard for the betterment of the local community, our children and our cultural heritage.

We therefore encourage anyone in the community who supports the club and who is prepared to give of their time on a voluntary basis to get involved so that fresh faces can bring fresh ideas forward. If you take that brave first step over the threshold, we guarantee that you will not regret it. So, if you are interested in lending a hand drop us a line – contact us.

NENAGH HANDBALL CLUB

Congratulations to Michael McNamara who is through to the Junior B Singles county final following his semi-final win in Nenagh on Thursday. His opposition will be finalised when Shane Spillane plays his semi-final on Tuesday at 8pm, also in Nenagh. Support welcome. We wish Shane the best of luck.

Well done also to Eamonn Spillane, Shane Spillane, Eoin Meagher and Michael McNamara who competed in the Munster Clubs Team of Four in Fermoy on Saturday. The lads reached the final but lost out to a very good Broadford team following a great effort.

CAMOGIE

Under-13: Commiserations to our under-13 team who were defeated by Éire Óg Annacarty on Saturday last in the league semi-final. A special thank you to all the players, their parents and guardians as well as their hard-working mentors for everything over the year and we look forward to seeing you at under-14 level in 2015.

Minor: Best wishes to our minor team who take on Cahir in the county semi-final on Saturday next in The Ragg at 2pm. All support welcome.

AGM: The AGM will be held on Monday, December 1st at 7pm in the hurling complex. All members are invited to attend.
