The Watch Centre North Tipperary Junior B Hurling Championship quarter-final against Toomevara will take place in Dolla at 5pm. Newport beat Kildangan 1-16 to 2-10 in their respective quarter-final while group winners Lorrha and Portroe have already progressed to the semi-final stage. Under-13: Our under-13 hurlers played their final round game against Borris-Ileigh on Friday night in Nenagh. Borris dominated the first half and led by 0-10 to 0-2 at the break. Éire Óg fought back in the second half with goals from Adam Brennan and Conor Hennessy to level the game just before the final whistle. Final score: 1-12 to 2-9. We have now qualified for the final and our opponents will be decided after next weekend’s round of games.

Hard luck to Eamonn Spillane and Gerry Foley who lost out in their All-Ireland doubles attempt on Saturday. Congratulations to them both on representing Tipperary so well this year.

Junior A: Our junior A team suffered a defeat to Holycross last Friday in the championship, but have still progressed to the knock-out stages. Please see for a match report from this game – the game finished 1-13 to 2-7 in favour of Holycross. Éire Óg are scheduled to play Cahir in the county semi-finals on Sunday next with the time and venue to be confirmed. Please keep an eye on our website for further details. This team have worked incredibly hard this year and would really appreciate your support on Sunday!

Under-10: The under-10 team had an excellent evening in Semple Stadium last Thursday as they travelled over to watch the Tipperary senior hurlers make their final preparations for the All-Ireland final.
