SENIOR
AGM: The club Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held in the complex at MacDonagh Park on Thursday, December 12th at 8pm. If anyone is interested in getting involved in any aspect of the club please come along. The AGM will be preceded by mass at 7.30pm.
Healthy Club Project: The Healthy Club Project team will host a ‘Well Being and Mental Health’ night on Friday, January 24th at the Abbey Court Hotel. This event represents an opportunity for club members and the wider community to become informed on the many issues surrounding depression and mental health. We hope to create awareness and offer hope in the areas of depression, loneliness and isolation. Speakers on the night include Conor Cusack, Tony Butler and Séamus Hennessy. In addition a number of organisations will be present with information.
Membership: Membership for 2014 is now due and can be paid to any club officer or online by clicking here. Cost of membership is priced at €25.
Congratulations: Well done to the Nenagh CBS team which beat Thurles CBS in the Croke Cup final last week.
JUVENILE
AGM: The AGM of the Nenagh Éire Óg juvenile club will take place on Wednesday, December 18th at 8pm in the complex at MacDonagh Park.
Presentation Night: Our successful juveniles were presented with their medals by senior team captain, Noel Maloney on Friday evening in the complex. Thanks to our boys, parents, Noel and all who participated in a great family night. Many thanks to all of our juveniles for their hard work and enthusiasm during the year.
Scór: Congratulations to our ballad group who won their county final on Friday night in Cashel and now move on to a Munster semi-final on January 5th (provisional date). Well done also to our figure dancers and recitation participant who represented the club proudly. Many thanks to Máiréid Long and Shane Connolly for all their hard work.
HANDBALL
Congratulations to Cameron Spillane who won a Munster A medal and Cian Griffin who won a Munster B medal as part of the successful Tipperary primary schools teams recently. Well done boys. Well done also to Michael McNamara and Brian Darcy who won the 40×20 County Junior B title in Cashel beating Ballyporeen opposition.
All at the club were very proud to see Michael ‘Boysie’ Hogan awarded with a Laochra Sean Ghael award in Thurles recently. It was richly deserved for his many years of work and dedication to GAA in his community and the county.
CAMOGIE
Presentation Night: All our successful teams from this year were presented with their medals on Friday last in the complex. We joined up with the club’s juvenile section for the event and this proved to be an enormous success with all the boys and girls enjoying a wonderful night. Thanks to all who made this a memorable occasion for everyone.
AGM: The Camogie club AGM took place on Wednesday, December 4th. The following positions were filled for 2014: Chairperson Denise Morris, Vice-Chairperson Maria Sheedy, Secretary Caitriona Morris, Treasurer Marie O’Brien, PRO Enda O’Sullivan, Registrar Catherine Kennedy and Child Welfare Officer Mark Hassett.
Congratulations: The club would like to congratulate Pat Sheridan on his election as Tipperary Camogie County Board Chairman. Pat was a former chairman of Nenagh Éire Óg Camogie club. We also offer our congratulations to Nenagh Éire Óg’s Greg Browne who has been appointed manager of the Tipperary under-14 Camogie team.
