SENIOR

County Senior Hurling Championship: On Sunday evening last in The Ragg our senior hurlers recorded a three-point victory (0-15 to 0-12) over Thurles Sarsfields in the first round. Following Sunday night’s draw the Blues will face Mullinahone in round two on Friday, June 28th.

Junior A Hurling League: Our junior A team take on Borris-Ileigh in this year’s league final. This game is scheduled to take place this weekend. See fixtures for details.

County Board Draw: The second monthly County Board draw for 2013-14 is being hosted by the Nenagh Éire Óg GAA Club and on Friday, June 21st in Andy’s Bar. Club winner from the first draw, Deirdre Lowney, will be presented with her prize of a car /€10,000. Aside from the normal prizes on offer there will be other confined club prizes on the night. All club members are invited to attend and food and entertainment will be provided – a reminder that people can still sign up for the draw by contacting Marion Ryan or any club officer.

GAA Healthy Club Project: The club executive would like to encourage those interested to participate in a simple questionnaire which forms a significant part of the GAA Healthy Club Porject. Should you wish to participate in the club questionnaire please do so by clicking here!

JUVENILE

Cork Trip: Our under-8, under-10 and udner-12 teams are off to Bishopstown in Cork on Saturday, June 22nd to compete in a series of blitzes. Buses will leave the Complex at 8am and boys are to wear full Éire Óg kit.

Under-12: Our group one and four hurlers both recorded wins over Ballina in the latest round of the Go Games in Nenagh last week. It’s a busy week ahead for the boys with the postponed games against Kildangan going ahead (date to be decided) and round six games away to Roscrea on Friday, June 21st for both groups.

Under-14: The under-14 hurling championship kicks off this Wednesday, June 19th away to Borrisokane at 6.45pm and runs for the next five weeks. The boys have been training hard and we wish them the best of luck. Please come out and support the team!

Bag Packing: Thank you to everybody who contributed to the success of the bag packing fundraiser in Dunnes Stores last weekend.

Questionnaire: As part of the GAA Healthy Club Project we are asking club members, supporters and the wider community to fill out a questionnaire in order to help and guide us over the next number of months to ensure that our healthy club project is a success. CAMOGIE

Under-12: Congratulations to our under-12 team who defeated Toomevara last week to claim the under-12A league title. A great achievement girls. Well done.

Under-14: Our under-14’s played three challenge games over the weekend against Silvermines, Kilkishen and the boys under-14 teams in preparation for the up-coming Féile. Thanks to all three teams who played us.

Sympathies: We wish to extend our sympathies to our club secretary Catherine Kennedy on the passing of her mother.
