Camogie Club:

Congratulations to Ciara McGrath who was part of the UL team that won the All Ireland Freshers Camogie Title with a comprehensive victory over WIT. Ciara scored an amazing personal tally of 7-05 in the final.

Well done to Alanna Morris and Aileen Duggan who were part of the Tipperary U18 panel that defeated Derry at the weekend. They play Dublin this weekend in a Dublin venue and must win in order to progress to the next round. Good luck girls.

We had seven players involved with the Tipperary Under Sixteen team who played in the Munster final on Tuesday. We have no details of the result at the time of going to press.

Our Junior B’s defeated Portroe 3-09 to 2-03 in the league on Sunday last. It was a great all round performance and special mention must go to Alice Darcy who without the hurley, Lionel Messi style, flicked the ball around the goalkeeper before kicking it into the back of the net. Well done Alice.

Our Under Sixteens are in action this Thursday night in Nenagh at 6:45pm when neighbours Burgess/Duharra provide the opposition in the opening round of the championship. They play Kilruane the following Thursday in Cloughjordan at 7pm. Best of luck girls.

Our Under Fourteens defeated Drom & Inch on Tuesday in round one of the championship. We played with a strong wind in the first half and led at half time 1-05 to 0-03. We defended bravely in the second and held out to win by the narrowest of margins 1-05 to 1-04. We are due to play Silvermines this Tuesday, April 9th, in Nenagh at 6:45pm, then Toomevara on 16th April in Toomevara at 7pm and Newport in Nenagh at 7pm on 23rd April. They are also due to play the Feile final on Saturday 13th April, details to be confirmed.

Our Under Twelves had a great Blitz last weekend where we played Toomevara, Drom & Inch and Borrisileigh in The Ragg. Thanks to all who organised a most enjoyable day out. We are due to play another blitz this weekend and mentors will be in touch with the details.

Our Easter Walk is this Sunday at twelve noon from the complex.

Our younger players have been excellent with paying their registration and we thank them for that. There are a number of U16s and Juniors who have yet to pay and we encourage them to do so ASAP. Players will not be allowed to play unless this is paid.
