CLUB AGM 2012:

The Annual General Meeting took place at the Complex on Thursday night 13th December. Those present at the meeting received detailed and well-presented reports on the clubs activities during the last 12 months by Club secretary Declan Bailey, Juvenile secretary Anne Kennedy, and Coaching & Development officer Phil Hennessy. Club Treasurer Seamus Cleary gave a detailed breakdown of the clubs finances which shows the club in a solid financial position. Club chairman Jim Nagle in his address reflected on the year’s activities and detailed the progress made in 2012 while setting out the key priorities for 2013 and beyond. The overall proceedings were conducted with the minimum of fuss with very good debate and discussion on a number of important issues.  All current officers were re-elected to serve the club for 2013.

Camogie Club News:

Thank you to both Dunnes Stores and Tesco for allowing us the opportunity to raise funds through bag packing recently. This is a crucial fundraiser for the club. We also wish to thank the volunteers who helped out and those who generously donated money.

St Marys Nenagh qualified for the senior Munster final by beating Coachford of Cork in Ballyea 7-05 to 0-3 recently while the Junior team also qualified for the Munster final after defeating Col Choilm Cork 4-09 to 3-03. Well done girls and thanks to Mr Dulea and all the teachers in St Marys for volunteering their time to promote camogie. Check our website and facebook page (www.facebook.com/nenagheireog) for details of these fixtures.

Hard luck to Catriona O Connor who was a member of the DIT panel defeated by DCU in The Purcell Cup.

Our AGM was held recently and the following positions were filled: Chairperson Denise Morris, Treasurer Liam McGrath,  Secretaries Catriona Morris and Catherine Kennedy, PRO Enda O Sullivan and Séamie Morris,  Child Welfare Officer Mark Hassett, A special thank you to out going secretary Liz Duggan for all her hard work this year.

We want to wish Martin Ryan all the best in 2013 as the Tipperary Under 15 manager while Conor Ryan takes over the Tipperary senior and intermediate job. Pat Sheridan and Ger Morris are on the Tipperary Committee this year. Its great to see so many from the club getting involved at county level.

We recently had a very successful medal presentation in the club house. The medals were presented by All Ireland winning minor hurler Barry Heffernan and our camogie players on various Tipperary panels Ciara McGrath, Danielle Harrington, Aileen Duggan and Alanna Morris. Medals were presented to our Under 12, Under 13, Under 14, Under 15 and Under 16 teams as well as our Under 13 1/2 team who won the Tipperary and Munster Community Games title and our Junior B team who won the Munster Junior League Plate Final. Every player in the club from Under 12 to adult won at least one medal this year which is testament to the huge work and tremendous talent in the club. Thanks to all the players and mentors for everything this year.

The club would like to express our sympathy to Denise Morris and the Morris family following the death of her uncle Paddy Salmon.
