MAHC: Our minor hurlers were due to play the 3rd group game on Sunday last but recieved a walkover from Ballina. Roscrea will provide the opposition in round 4, this is scheduled to be played on Sat next at 4pm in Roscrea.

SCOR: The Scor na Nog North final is scheduled for Friday 23rd November. Are you under 16 and do you have an interest in taking to the stage over the coming weeks to represent the club at singing, dancing, acting or playing music ? If the answer is yes, contact Mairead Long at 0879686308 ASAP. Non-members of the club are especially welcome.

Juvenile club news:

U 6 & 8: We held our annual Tommy Mulcahy tournament last Saturday morning in great weather conditions. Toomevara, Silvermines and ourselves had a great mornings hurling which was enjoyed by all. Thanks are due to:  Tommy Mulcahy for his support over the years for Juvenile hurling in Nenagh and who presented a lovely momento for the day to each club;  to the parents who provided a huge array of food and catered for our visitors, Christy McLoughlin for refereeing, Ger Doyle for his sponsorship of refreshments for the children and his sponsorship of equipment  for the club earlier this year and to our U6 and U8 mentors for the arrangements which went very smoothly on the day.

Camogie club news:

U8s are training on Wednesdays from 5:30 to 6:30. Could all girls please bring both boots and runners to training from now on.

U10s are training on Mondays and Thursdays 5:30 to 6:30. There was another County Blitz in Toomevara last Saturday. The girls played three games against Toome, Shannon rovers and Kilruane and everybody got some game time. Thanks to Toomevara for hosting this blitz and everyone got a medal at the end.

U12s The U/12s are training on a Monday and Thursday Evening.  The u/12 finally got to play a game last Saturday and they had a good win against Portroe. We will be hoping to have a match every week but this also depends on u/13 and u/14 fixtures.

U14s The U/14s are training on Mondays and Thursdays.  The u/14 A County League final was called off last Sunday and it is hoped to be played this weekend. Our u/13 team also has a County semi final coming up and we ask all the panels to keep up the good work in training for a few more weeks, Also, best of luck to Maeve Moloney and her Burgess/Duharra  team who are taking on Drom in the County Senior Camogie Final.

Minors: The U/18 championship is to continue this weekend with a match against Clonoulty. We ask girls to attend training during the week.

Junior B: Well done to our junior team who had a great win over Silvermines last Sunday in the County semi-final. They worked really hard to run out winners 4-07 to 1-03. D Harrington (2), Brenda O’Sullivan and G Morris got the goals. They are now in the County Final which should take place week ending 21st October. We ask everyone on the panel to make a special effort to attend the training sessions over the next few weeks

FUNDING: Also to let parents know, we are having our flag day on the 20th-21st of October and we also hope to have bag packing on 8-9 November. All help will be needed on these dates. These are our biggest fundraisers during the year and with the Club being so successful in already winning two County Finals, competing in two All Ireland finals, having our first Adult County Final coming up and the possibility of 2 or 3 more Juvenile County Finals, you can see the Club needs all the help and funds that we can get.
