U14s. The U/14s are training on Mondays and Thursdays. Our u/13 girls travelled to Dublin last Saturday to take part in the All Ireland 7 a side. They came 2nd out of their group win a win over the Offaly champions being the highlight. They beat the Derry champions in the Q/Final and then beat host club Faughs in a titanic semi Final. The Final was against Sarsfield of Galway and despite giving it their all Sarsfield ran out winners. This was a great achievement as it was the first time any of our girls would have played 7 a side games. Thanks to everyone who travelled up on the day. Our County semi finals are fixed and details will be given at training.
Our County girls were also in Dublin for the All Ireland Blitz. Tipperary B team captained by Niamh Ryan got knocked out by Offaly A after great wins over Kilkenny and Down. Our A team got all the way to the All Ireland Final after matches against Dublin, Limerick, Wexford and Galway in the semi-final.  We played Wexford in the Final. Tipp started really well but went in behind at H-T. The second half was very tight but we got back in to the game and got back level in injury time with an excellent 50 metre pressure free by Grace O’Brien. The game went on and a Wexford attack was cleared for a 45 which they converted with the last puck of the ball. All the Nenagh girls performed brilliant on the day and also throughout the whole year. This panel has won 6 finals this year and lost in 3 more. Well done to Anna Dillion Alicia Hanlon Clodagh Ryan Grace O’Brien Lisa Darcy Rachel Spillane Sarah Quigley and Niamh Ryan who were part of the panels throughout the year. Also thanks to Martin Ryan, Mary Murphy and manager Mike Ryan for looking after the teams. Thanks to all the parents who travelled to support the girls and Nenagh u/13 team who also came down to support us.
