Well done to all our county girls who played in the Orla McDonagh Tipperary Blitz last Sunday. Tipperary had 3 teams in four competitions. They won two including the Munster Final and lost in the Finals of the other two. Alicia, Anna, Clodagh, Grace, Lisa, Mary, Mike, Martin, Niamh, Rachel and Sarah represented our Club on the day. Also, a Big Thanks to Louise Ryan for helping with First Aid and all the parents for helping out on the day.
Community Games: We travelled to Athlone last weekend for the All Ireland u/13 camogie Finals. In the semi-final on Saturday we played the Ulster champions from Derry. The girls started a bit nervous but once they found their form they ran out convincing winners. We then travelled back up again on Sunday to play Athenry of Galway in the All Ireland Final. Hazel McAuliffe was an injury concern but was available to play. This was a very tight game with scores hard to come by. Nenagh had the lead for most of the game but just could not pull away which left them vulnerable. And we were caught just on the stroke of full time when Athenry equalized. This led to extra time and the excitement and tension was unbearable. Everyone worked really hard and again scoring chances were at a premium. Unfortunately, like in normal time, with nearly the last puck of the game Athenry scored a goal to take the lead and the game. The team was devasted afterwards but hopefully they will reflect back on what they have achieved with pride because the girls are a credit to themselves, their parents and the Club. The girls got new jackets sponsored by O2 and also thanks to the Hi-B for the food on Sunday Night. Panel Niamh Sheridan, Kate O’Connor Rachel O Connor Nessa Tynan, Sarah Kennedy, Kirstan Howard, Hazel McAuliffe, Meave Coffey, Hazel Coffey Caroline Browne Rebecca McGrath Laura Tierney Leah Sheedy Ciara Phelan and Fiona Hennessey. Mentors Kieran O’Brien, Martin Ryan, Meave Moloney and Noel Coffey. First Aid: Catherine Kennedy.
U16s. Training times are being sent out by text.  The girls had a fine win against Moneygall in the county semi-final last Wednesday on a scoreline of 4-10 to 2-05. The team played really well with the backs being really tight and the forwards creating lots of chances. The Final is to be played Thursday in the Ragg at 7pm against Kilruane. This will be a tough game so all support will be required to help the girls along.
Junior B: the Junior team played Moneygall last Sunday. We gave an excellent account of ourselves in this game and ran out winners by 6-05 to 0-01. We are due to play knockshegowna next weekend. Best of Luck to Danielle Harrington and the Tipperary Junior team who play their Munster Final this weekend. Check out our facebook page for details of all games.
