CAMOGIE NEWS:
U8s are training on Wednesdays from 5:30 to 6:30. We have another blitz coming up shortly
U10’s are training on Mondays and Thursdays 5:30 to 6:30.
U12’s. The U/12s are training on a Monday and Thursday Evening.  A lot of the girls are playing on the U/13 and U/14 panels and great credit is due to the girls and all the trainers that they are able to make the step up and perform so well. We ask everyone to keep coming training and keep up the good work.
U14s. The U/14s are training on Mondays and Thursdays from 5:30. After the high of our great U/14 final win it was back to business for all the girls last week with all the leagues starting. The U/13’s were first out and had a fine win over Burgess. This is a very good team and this league will also give these girls great practice for the upcoming Community games Munster Finals. We had two u/14 teams out on Thursday. The A team had a good win against B champions Silvermines. Meave Coffey and Caroline Browne took the scoring honours.  This was a very different team that won the A final with a lot of girls away or injured. The B team played Ballingarry and despite playing well in the 2nd half suffered defeat. This was a good team display with a lot of girls playing u/14 for the first time as so many others had to go with the A team. There are a lot of games coming up so keep in touch with trainers.
U16s. Training is now back in full swing.  The Championship will start very soon again so we ask everyone available to attend training. Well done to the County U/16 team of their win over Kilkenny last weekend.  We wish Alana a speedy recovery from her broken finger.
The junior b and minor panels will train on Wednesdays and Fridays. Our Junior B’s defeated Ruan from Clare in our final home match in the Munster league 5-08 to 3-05. Gemma Morris, Louise Hickey, Maria Daly got a goal each while Danielle Harrington scored two. Congratulations to Maria, as it was her first goal for the club. Best wishes to Alice Darcy who picked up a shoulder injury in the game. This game also saw the welcome return to action of Catriona O Connor after a long layoff through injury. We would like to say thank you to everyone who brought food along to these games and a special thanks to ‘the mammy’s’ who prepared tea, coffee, sandwiches and got the hall ready for the after match feast. Your generosity is very much appreciated. We played Sixmilebridge on Tuesday evening, result not available at time of going to press so check our website details of the match.
