Camogie news:
U8s are training on Wednesdays from 5:30 to 6:30. We have another blitz coming up shortly
U10’s are training on Mondays and Thursdays 5:30 to 6:30. We took part in a blitz in Burgess on Saturday. We played four matches and had a really enjoyable day at a very well run Blitz. We thank Burgess for hosting this Blitz.
U12’s. The U/12s are training on a Monday and Thursday Evening. Well done to all the Girls on both the U/11 and U/13 Convent Schools teams who won both A finals and the Gaelscoil u/13 Team that won the B final in Semple Stadium last week. We also took part in a blitz in Dolla and thanks to Silvermines for hosting this blitz.
U14s. The U/14s are training on Mondays and Thursdays from 5:30. Our County Final was played on Tuesday, 12th of June in the Ragg. See Match report. We had a Fantastic win against Toomevara in the U/14A County Final. The Girls gave a wonderful performance backed by a very large and loud Nenagh support. The work rate of the team from start to finish was immense and even when Toome came back to 4pts in the 2nd half the hard work and extra fitness training really paid off as the girls pushed on again to win on a scoreline of 2-8 to 0-6.It meant a lot to everyone involved in the Club to see Captain Clodagh Ryan lift our first A Championship title. Well done to the Trainers Martin Ryan, Meave Moloney, Kieran O’Brien and Noel Coffey for all their hard work in getting the girls ready for this challenge. Thanks to everyone who came to support and also to everyone who helped with the refreshments at the celebration party back in the complex. Also, well done to the girls, who won County Finals in both Schools and Community games in the last week. A lot of the panel picked up three County titles in a week. There are a number of matches coming up with u/14 A & C leagues and U/13 Leagues as well so we ask everyone to attend training when possible to keep up to date.
U/16s. Training is now back in full swing.  The Championship will start very soon again so we ask everyone available to attend training.
The junior b and minor panels will train on Wednesdays and Fridays. Best of Luck to everyone, still doing their exams.  We played Knockshegowna on Monday last in the opening match of the Munster junior league. Despite missing a number of players we managed to win 3-08 to 0-01 with two goals from Danielle Harrington and another from Gemma Morris. A special word of thanks to Bridget White, who came out of retirement to ensure that we could field a team. There were great performances from Maria Daly, Lisa Maher, Michelle O Dwyer and Alice Darcy. Best wishes to Alanna Morris who sustained a broken finger in the match.  We played Eire Og Ennis in our second Munster League game on Friday last in Nenagh and while we contributed to a very entertaining match unfortunately we came up short and lost to an excellent side. Best for Eire Og was Jessica Maher who gave an exhibition of camogie. Best wishes to Alice Darcy who picked up an injury in the game. We play Ruan of Clare on Friday evening at 8pm in our next match and are away to Sixmilebridge, Tuesday 26th after that.
We ask all players to please let their trainers know about holidays as there are a lot of matches coming up and we want to make sure we will have enough girls to fulfil these fixtures. Again, well done to everyone on a great couple of weeks.
