Sympathies: The club would like to extend its sympathies to the Kelly family on the recent death of Brendan Kelly.

Summercamp: 130 Boys and Girls attended our annual summercamp last week in what was mainly good weather. Well done to John Brennan for co-ordinating the camp and our club coaches and assistants for their great help. A new feature this year was an introduction to handball, thanks to Eamon Spillane for running this. Many thanks to our guest, Tipp player Conor O’Mahony, who was very popular with the children. Thanks to our sponsors Nenagh Credit Union for their continuing support of our summercamp and also to Christy Manning for sponsorship of goody bags for all the children. Also thanks to David Rooney of the Nenagh Arena for the use of his premises.

Best wishes: The club would like to send best wishes to U8 player Eoghan Casey who suffered an unfortunate injury last week. We are looking forward to seeing Eoghan back in action in the not too distant future.
U6: Our U6 group take a break for a few weeks and will resume around August 13th, watch club notes for updates.

U8: Our U8s travelled to Roscrea on Saturday last and had a very competitive game, thanks to Roscrea for hosting us.
U10s: Our U10s have a busy week this week with matches vs. Kilruane in Cloughjordan on this Thursday and vs. Roscrea in Roscrea on this Saturday.

U12: We had mixed fortunes in the Go Games competitions last week. After defeating Kildangan in the D section quarter final, we were defeated by a strong Toomevara team in the semi final. Well done to our selectors who had a panel of 21 for all the games and ensured each boy got at least 20 mins play per game. We had better luck in the A section game vs. Toomevara. With the game level at half time, Toomevara dominated the first 10 mins of the 2nd half and went 3 points ahead. We took over in the last 10 mins and a great point by Jake Morris bought us back to within 2 points. It looked like it was not our day as we hit the post and crossbar but as the game went into injury time, a ground shot from Daniel O’Donovan found the net to put us in the final. The final will be on this Saturday vs. Kilruane in Lorrha, see fixtures.

U14: After defeating Moneygall the previous week by 3-12 to 0-2, our U14s had a narrow 1-4 to 0-4 victory in the semi final vs. Roscrea on Wednesday last in Borrisokane. This was a game of 2 halves with us leading 1-4 to no score at half time. Roscrea came at us strongly in the 2nd half and we just held out for victory. Well done to the players and team management who now face into our 3rd North Final in a row. We play Kilruane in the final which will take place on August 13th.

U16: We had our 3rd victory of the campaign last week vs Moneygall/Clonakenny. We will have played Ballina on Monday of this week with a home game vs. Kilruane scheduled for Monday August 1st.
