Junior Hurling:Our Junior Hurlers came from 4 points down in the second half to beat Kilruane MacDonaghs 0-19 to 1-15, with a last minute Niall Madden point securing the win for Éire Óg. We play Burgess in the final round of games.
Senior Hurling: The quarter finals of the North Senior Hurling Championship is set to to take place next Saturday evening, June 10th, at 7:30 p.m when we take on Roscrea.
Under 6: U6's have their first blitz of the year next Saturday June 10th at 10.30. We are hosting Kilruane McDonaghs, Ballina & Newport. Training continues as usual on Wednesday at 5.15pm.
Under 8: U8 hurlers participated in a go games Blitz in Toomevara. We had a very strong showing with 4 teams and had 3 very competitive and enjoyable games against Toomevara, Roscrea and Borrisoleigh. We would like to thank Toomevara for hosting this very enjoyable morning of hurling. Football training continues on Tuesday at 6pm and hurling on Wednesday at 5:15pm.
Under 10: U10s played Toomevara last Saturday morning with all players getting two games each and a great mornings hurling was held in the inside field. Training continues usual times and evenings this week.
Under 12: U12s played a very competitive game against Moycarkey in Nenagh on Sat morning. A good mornings hurling was had by all. We get our competitive season under way this week. Training continues as usual .
Under 14: U14 hurlers enjoyed two very productive outings in challenge games this week at home to Kilruane and away to Borrisokane; recording good victories along the way. All players played at least a half in each match. Our attention now turns to championship and our first home match against North U14 A Féile finalists Kiladangan in Nenagh at 6.30pm on Wednesday, June 7th. Best of luck to the boys in this match. Well done also to Jamie Kennedy who attended county U14 hurling trials recently.
