IHL: We defeated Knockshegowna on Monday night in the second round of the Intermediate league. We now play Ballinahinch in the last round of the league this Saturday at two o clock in Nenagh.

Munster Final: Hard Luck to Nenagh Vocational School who were beaten by Clonakilty in the Munster Vocational Schools “B” last week. Hard luck to the team and to the Eire Og players Tommy and Barry Heffernan, Bob O Brien, Paddy Sheehan, Michael Hallinan, Adam Gratton and Steven Nagle.

 

Membership: Membership is now over due for some people and must be paid immediately. Membership is compulsory for all players. If you are not a paid up member by the 31st March you will not be registered for insurance purposes, will not hold any rights within the club and will not be eligible for tickets to championship matches. You can now also pay your membership on-line via the club website.

 

First Aid Course: The club will be running a basic First Aid  / defibrillator training course in the near future. It you would like to enrol for this training please contact Bartley Ryan (086-7358359)

 

SCOR: Well done to all competitors who took part in the Scór na bPaisti area finals on Friday night last. Twenty one competitors took part in seven events and we qualified for the finals in Solo Song and the Novelty act. The finals will take place in Portroe hall on Friday night next 19th March.

 
Juvenile news: The U10’s played a very entertaining challenge match against Liam Mellows of Galway on Sunday last. The game ended in a draw. Best for Eire Og were Dane Ryan in goal and Stevie Hallinan, Barry Coffey and Cian O’Farrell out the field. Thanks to Michael Hallinan for taking charge of the whistle. No training on St Patricks Day as the team will be involved in the parade. Training resumes on saturday morning next at 10.00am.
 
The Juvenile Club will be taking part in the St. Patrick’s Day Parade this year. As many as possible of the Under 8 and under 12 players are to take part accompanied with their mentors and club officials.They will march behind the Club Banner and Trophies/Cups which were won during 2009 will be displayed. We will meet at the CBS Primary School yard at 1.00pm. The Parade commences at 1.30pm. and finishes at 2.30pm.approx. Parents are then requested to collect children in Railway Station car park. Any child wishing to partake should confirm with their team manager prior to the parade.
