SH: On Monday last, our senior hurlers were defeated by Portroe in the 2nd round of the championship on a scoreline of 0-19 to 3-14. Check website for match report. Our next game takes place this weekend and Templederry will provide the opposition. This match takes place on Sunday 8th May at 1pm in Dolla.

JAHL: Our junior hurlers had a convincing  4-18 to 2-3 over Roscrea in the junior league on Tuesday evening.  We take on Burgess in Round 5 which will be on teh weekedn of the 15th May.
 
JBHL: Our junior B hurlers collected the two points on offer last Friday evening after they defeated Borrisokane by 7 points in the 2nd round of the league. Final score was 2-14 to 1-10. The 3rd round game is fixed for Saturday evening at 7pm in Nenagh when Templederry provide the opposition.

Juvenile news:

U6, U8 and U10s Hurling training takes place on Wednesdays at 5pm and Saturdays at 10am, all new players welcome. There are helmets available at €40 (medium) and hurleys at subsidised prices.

U8: We hosted a blitz on Saturday last with Toomevara and Templederry visiting.

U10: After a great match, we were defeated by Thurles in Community Games hurling by 1-5 to 0-5 thus ending our interest in the competition. We travel to Durlas Og on this Saturday morning for a blitz.

U11: We sent an U11 team to Na Fianna Club in Dublin on Sunday last to participate in the McNulty tournament. The lads put in a great days hurling and enjoyed themselves, thanks to the parents that provided transport. Many thanks to Na Fianna for their invitation and hospitality. Congrats to Gerry Starr and the Dubs on their great victory!

U12: We defeated Inane Rovers in both games on Friday last in Nenagh, we remain unbeaten after 5 games. We play Moneygall/Clonakenny on this Friday in Nenagh at 6.30.

U14: We play Kildangan in the North semi final in Puckane on this Wednesday at 6.30.

U16: The North Final vs Ballina is scheduled for Tuesday of this week in Kilcoleman.

Well done: Congrats to North Tipp U16s who won the Munster U16 Divisional hurling championship on Monday last, we were represented by Killian Gleeson (captain) James Mackey, Barry Heffernan, Donnacha Quinn and John Cahalan, Liam Flannery is a selector on this team.

 
Minor: Congratulations from the Juvenile club to Mark Tuite and Barry Heffernan who are on the County Minor panel.

Parish League: Our U12 parish league concludes this Tuesday with the finals going ahead.

Easter camp: We held our annual Easter hurling camp last week in glorious weather. Thanks to all the coaches who helped at the camp and to Tadhg O’Connor for visiting.

Summercamp: Our annual summercamp is scheduled for the week of 18th to 22nd  July.
Bag Packing: We held a very successful Bag Packing event in Dunne Stores on Saturday last, many thanks to all those who helped out on the day.

Camogie news:

U14’s played there first championship match last week against Holycross.  It was a tough battle but Nenagh came out on top in the end. 

U16’s played a challenge match against Na Piarsaigh of Limerick on Sunday last, it was a good workout for the team with a convincing win by Nenagh.

Junior B’s qualified for the league semi Final on Monday  with a highly spirited win against Portroe  in MacDonagh Park Nenagh. It was a game of two halves with the strong wind having a big influence on the game. Nenagh Eire Og went in at half time with an 11 point win with goals from Jessica Maher Louise Hickey and Aileen Duggan. The second half saw Portroe putting on huge pressure on The Nenagh Eire Og defense who kept their composure and  points from Gemma Morris (2) and Ciara McGrath (1) left Nenagh with a 3-08 to 4-2 Victory. This young team are carrying the flag for The Club with great confidence and Courage their skill levels have improved with the coaching that they  are getting and today’s victory is another small step for this club while we wait for our young players to pour through. We play Roscrea at the weekend in our final league game. Well done to Grace O Brien Rachel Maher and Michelle Collins who were part of the Tipperary u 14 squad for the Clare tournament on Monday and Alanna Morris and Aileen Duggan who were part of the Tipperary u 16 team that convincingly beat Cork on Saturday in the All Ireland semi final replay. They now play Kilkenny in the All Ireland Final next Saturday. They are part of a very good team and it would be great if we could see a huge support from Nenagh Eire Og to cheer them on in the All Ireland Final.
