Clarenbridge lead at the break by 2-4 to 0-4 and despite scoring twelve points in the second half we still lost by seven. We won our first match in these years Junior C Football Championship against Killererin in Tuam on Saturday evening last. We trailed at half time 0-6 to 0-4 with our scores coming from Ger Raftery 0-3, 0-1 from play and the other from Tom Forde from play. Killerean got a goal and a point from a free at the start of the second half and we were 6 points down and looked in trouble. We added three more points in the last ten minutes and were lucky to hold on to win by a single point. We will have to improve in order to progress in this year’s championship.
