U14 Team: -14 An Mullach Ban v Crossmaglen
Our U-14 team went down to play Crossmaglen this week, we held our own for the first 10-15 minutes, reducing Crossmaglen to long range shots and pushing them well wide of the scoring area. Our brilliant defending was then breached with a goal and a couple of points. Things were not looking good for us at this stage, but with our never say die attitude, things started to improve, with a couple of points and a goal before half time. The second half was hard fought, with some brilliant moves up the field producing some spells of very good football throughout the game. Shane Murchan worked really hard around the midfield, helped out by his team mate Stephen Lavelle who was playing as a sweeper and managed to get a score after working really hard all day. Stephen McCoy and Niall Brady worked tirelessly in midfield and half forward and kept pushing forward at every opportunity. Seamus Strain knocked over two free kicks from about 25-30 yards out and never stopped all day. His brother Niall worked hard all evening up and down the line, never giving up. Patrick Tiernan, Eamon O Coyne, Ryan Crilly, Ryan McKinley and Ciaran Walsh also had good games in the defence, and David Hughes did really well starting off in the full forward line and ending up in the full back line towards the end of the game. Well done to all the subs who played, and apologies to those that didn’t get to play. The U14s train on Tuesday from
