Clonmore Juvenile and Girls clubs held their Registration and Awards Night on Friday 7 March. Special guests for the evening were county players Hughie Gahan and Michael Meaney from Old Leighlin along with the county senior trophy, the Conlon Cup. Juvenile Chairman, Johnny Maguire, welcomed all parents and children and spoke about the various club activities that we plan to do throughout the year. He also spoke about the "healthy club" initiative we are planning to run this year under the watchful eye of Carrie Keating. Johnny introduced the special guests and Michael Meaney addressed the audience with words of wisdom on how to encourage young players to get the best out of their footballing career. Both lads presented the various awards and stood in for photos. We would like to thank Michael and Hughie for taking the time to travel to our Award Night and bringing the Conlon Cup. The night finished up with refreshments and a disco for the kids. A big thanks to Edel Byrne for providing the music.
