There was no jackpot winner in this weeks lotto draw held in Hennelly’s Corrandulla on Monday night last. The numbers drawn from the drum were 2,7, 8 & 21 and these produced eight match 3’s :- Aideen McGrath c/o W Dowd, Philip Monaghan Corrandulla, Damien Shaughnessy Ballrobuck, Nicholas Burke Castlecreevy, Breda Fitzpatrick Cahermorris, Ciara Quinn Bunatubber, Eamon Gibbons Clonboo and Stephen Hertrich Thumnahulla. Hubert Melia won the promoters prize and next weeks draw is in the Anbally Inn for a jackpot of  €2,300

On Thursday Feb 16th there will be an ‘Under-age Presentation Night’ starting at 8.00 in the Club House all are welcome. All players are asked to have membership on Wednesday( to night ) at the pitch to insure all are paid up before our teams play in competition this weekend.

All adult team managers are asked to attend a meeting this Friday night at 8.30pm in the clubhouse to arrange training times for the coming year.

We play Cortoon-Shamrocks on Saturday in the senior league play off. A win will put us into a Final playoff with the winners remaining Division ‘1A’ of the county league. A big parish support is expected in Tuam Stadium on Saturday at 3.15pm.

We have our first Intermediate hurling game on Sunday against Sarsfields in the League. This game will be played away.

We have a Minor football challenge on Sunday morning against Aghamore at 12.30pm.

All in Annaghdown would like to wish Caherlistrane good luck this week-end in the final at Croke Park.

Our Development Draw tickets are on sale from committee members at  50 each and the prize fund is  €30,000 so buy early and support this fundraised and all sold tickets to be returned on lotto draw nights.

The parish ploughing is on in Regan’s land in Clonboo this Sunday. Best of luck to Flyer, Padraig and all the parish ploughmen and ploughwomen. We hope that they weather picks up for them.

The A.G.M of Annaghdown Ladies football club was held on Jan 25th. The following officers were elected. Chairperson:- Collette Walsh, Vice-Chairpers:- Lorraine Scully, Secretary:- Mary Killilea, Ass Secretary:- Claire Burke, Treasurer:- Ita Scully, Registrar:- Fiona Scully, P.R.O:- Tom Murphy, Child Officer:- Fiona Scully, Delegates to County Board:- Tom Murphy, Mary Killilea, Ita Scully & Collette Walsh. Monthly meeting takes place in the clubhouse on Mon 27th Jan at 8.30pm. Registration for all players takes place in the clubhouse on Wed March 1 st between 8pm and 9pm. Players 8yrs and upwards please attend. Please note that players must be 8yrs on the 1 st Jan 2006.
