The Bearna seniors will find out who they face in the first round of the Galway senior football championship when the draw is made in the coming fortnight.
The draws for the Senior and Intermediate Galway Football Championship 2014 will be broadcast live on RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta on Tuesday 11 February at 8.30 pm.
The draw will take place live in the station HQ in Casla, Connemara with County Board officials and club representatives present. The programme will be presented by Mícheál Mac Donnchadha.
20 teams will be in the draw for the senior championship, including last year’s champions Corofin, Intermediate Champions Menlough, and five Gaeltacht teams – An Cheathrú Rua, Naomh Anna, Carna/Caiseal, Micheál Breathnach and Bearna.
There will be 16 teams in the intermediate contest including last year’s champions Moycullen, and three Gaeltacht teams – An Spidéal, An Fhairche and Baile Chláir na Gaillimhe.
