Lotto

Club lotteries have been a regular part of fundraising efforts at sports clubs in Ireland for decades and Clubforce (as locallotto.ie) became the online home of club and society lotteries over 10 years ago. The Clubforce system allows clubs to sell lottery tickets online to club members at home and abroad. Members can enter multiple draws at once and receive automated emails with lottery results and club news.

This online lottery service is included as part of the club’s overall subscription to Clubforce and can be run in-tandem with offline lottery or run exclusively online.

Intermediate team get first league win. Achill 3-2 Mayo Gaels 0-16

November 8, 2018

For the second week in a row our intermediate team faced a long away trip on Sunday morning. This week’s trip to Achill proved fruitful as they came away with a 3-2 to 0-16 victory. Played to the beautiful back drop of the Atlantic Ocean the Gaels completely dominate the first half but they only found themselves three points to the good at half time 2-1 to 0-10. They kicked five points from play in the last fifteen minutes to run out 3-2 to 0-16 winners.

Intermediate team lose to Ballinrobe in the O’Mara Cup 3-6 to 3-17

This was always going to be a tough assignment for Mayo Gaels, taking on a senior team like Ballinrobe. Things were not helped when, on their first attack of the day, The Robe’s rampaging number 6 was pulled down in the square for a penalty. They dually put the ball in the net and added 2 more points before the Gaels got off the mark. Ballinrobe dominated the first hald and lead 2-9 to 0-3 at halftime, but credit to the Gaels lads they managed to outscore Ballinrobe in the second half.
